Our last two ferns are starting to feel a bit sad, they had some brown edges that we cut off so it has lost a bit of the bushiness but still a living and green plant, in need of some loving hads, hence the sale.
Please reach out if you would like to see more pictures.

Ferns come in many shapes and sizes and their varieties in the wild can reach up to staggering amount of 15 thousand. Only around 2 thousand varieties are considered suitable as housplants. Most ferns are easy to care for, but some vigilence is required to maintain their good looks. Two main factors to consider are keping the soil constantly moist, but no soggy, and providing good level of air humidity.

PLANT CARE:

  • Bright light but avoid direct sunlight. East of North facing windowsill will be a perfect placement for this beauty to thrive. In summer protect it from harsh midday sun.
  • Best room temperatures range between 16-24 °C.
  • Keep the soil moist in spring and summer but not soggy as it will lead to root rot. Water less in winter. Using a Sustee Moisture Meter stick helps to figure out how much moisture is in the soil so you don’t under or overwater.
  • Use well draining potting mix. Repot in spring if plant is getting rootbound. When repotting, be careful not to put the base of the plant too deep in the soil.
  • From spring to autumn fertilise every 2-3 weeks.
  • This plant prefers high humidity level. It's good to spray it with water from time to time.
  • Most ferns are considered non-toxic, but be careful if you choose Dryopteris Erythrosora or Didymochlaena Truncatula as these are considered to be toxic to humans and pets.

Height of the plant - 60 cm. Diameter of the pot - 17 cm. Sustee size M.

The height of the plant is measured from the base of the pot to the top of the plant.
The diameter of the pot is measured at the top part of the pot.
