Originally from South-East Asia, it is a very elegant palm tree with large, shiny, fan shaped leaves, hence its nickname "Fan Palm". It is undemanding and improves air quality.

Likes bright indirect light to partial shade. It should be placed far from direct sunlight throughout the window and away from sources of heat or draughts.

Let the potting slightly dry in between waterings and remove any stagnant water. Using a Sustee Moisture Meter stick helps to figure out how much moisture is in the soil so you don’t under or overwater your plant.

You can remove brown leaves if any to encourage growth but beware of the thorns.
